I’ve generated two charts of US Department of Defense (DOD) contract spending in November 2014, by category and by company (top 20), from data put together by Christian Sorensen at BoilingFrogsPost.com. The total spending I included was $18,329,062,146, which is substantially lower than Sorensen’s $19,287,334,392. The discrepancy is due in part to the following unspecified amounts, which were not counted:
Booz Allen Hamilton; CENTRA Technology, Inc.; ManTech; and Schafer Corp. received unspecified amounts for technical, programmatic, financial, and administrative support services for existing and future DARPA Tactical Technology Office programs.
I’ve also put the data into a raw CSV file.
